Free Executive Functioning Zoom Discussion

Dr. Boxer and Matthew Hayutin to present at International Dyslexia Association (IDALA) Language and Learning Conference

As part of 2016 International Dyslexia Association (IDALA) Language and Learning Conference at UCLA, Dr. Boxer and Matthew Hayutin, M.Ed. will present: Developing Executive Functioning Skills in Children and Adolescents.

The presentation will explore the development of executive functioning skills critical to academic and personal success, as well as specific tools parents and educators can employ to support children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Boxer will examine executive functioning with a cognitive emphasis, discussing the neuroscience behind how these skills develop.  Mr. Hayutin will focus on practical implications and recommendations for supporting students with low executive functioning to further develop these essential skills. <Details and registration>

The Frostig Center is pleased to host a presentation by esteemed experts Dr. Gwen Palafox, Dr. Diane Danis, Dr. Mitesh Parekh, and Dr. Oren Boxer on "How to Promote Autonomy and Self-Determination in Adolescents."  Issues concerning homework and medication management will be covered and there will be time for Q & A.
